Queensland
Queensland offers some wonderful holiday package deals. Packaging a holiday will work out much cheaper for you in the long run. We know Queensland and can tailor your holiday package to suit you! Whether it be the comforts and peace and quiet of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast or the racy and active Gold Coast we have the holiday for you. Plenty of activities including scuba-diving, white-water rafting, hot air ballooning, rail journeys, 4 wheel drive adventures to Cape York and beyond, cruises to the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas and the Daintree Forest and Cape Tribulation National Park. Queensland has got the lot. Queensland's Capital City: Brisbane As Queensland’s capital, Brisbane has its very own savvy downtown precinct, which serves as a destination in its own right or as the perfect hub for exploring spectacular Moreton Bay, beaches, or many regional hinterland attractions located inside a leisurely 60 minute drive. Brisbane’s active yet relaxed way of life fits perfectly with the plethora of things to see and do in and around the city. There’s simply no better place in Queensland to indulge in some serious retail therapy. Start in the Queen Street Mall – almost a kilometre of shoppers’ paradise. Then stroll along to the City’s chic shopping strips and arcades before heading to The Valley where you’ll find the edgiest young designs around. South Bank’s new Arbour on Grey should be next on your shopping list. Downtown’s outdoor markets are a weekend pleasure not to be missed. If you can’t find what you’re shopping for in downtown Brisbane, it simply doesn’t exist! You’ll need at least a month to check out all of downtown’s nightlife options, from bars and pubs to nightclubs and live music venues. The city isn’t known as ‘Brisvegas’ for nothing! The downtown dining menu is hearty and satisfying and some of Australia’s most awarded chefs can be found in the kitchens downtown. Just choose your cuisine, budget, view, pace, style and flavour. When it comes to culture, it’s all in a day’s play – musicals, live theatre, galleries, museums, even guided walking tours of downtown’s historical sites. And while there's plenty to keep you going in downtown Brisbane, you should also spread your wings a little. Within 60 minutes, so much is so close: from beaches and islands, to hinterland and country, to parks and wildlife just to name a few. Brisbane dining will
spoil you. Sure, the best fresh seafood platters are here, but so is fine dining
by the tranquil Brisbane River, eclectic cuisine at intimate inner city
restaurants, or authentic cosmopolitan flavours at West End or Chinatown.
Brisbane's sapphire blue Moreton Bay offers heaps of watery activities. Charter
a boat, discover reefs edging the dozens of islands, tussle with a marlin. The
islands are prized for their white sand and great camping - and one was even a
penal colony! Brisbane Arcade Where better to discover
unique, elegant pieces than Brisbane Arcade? Queensland's leading designers
choose Brisbane Arcade for their showrooms. Whether you're seeking instant
off-the-rack gratification, or wanting a couture creation for a special
occasion, the Arcade artisans have individuality in store and waiting. Brisbane
Arcade holds more than refined fashion for the discerning shopper. The Arcade is
also Brisbane jewellery hub. Ten resident jewellers plus two antique stores
(both jewellery specialists) add up to an enormous choice for jewellery
clientele seeking prices ranging from chic everyday wear to milestone pieces.
The Arcade's tenants also include hair and beauty specialists, gift stores,
photography studios, active wear, and travel. And if all this superior shopping
stirs your appetite, there are four cafes and restaurants to kick back in. The
heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade was built for the children of Patrick Mayne in
1923, and features in the popular Brisbane novel, the Mayne Inheritance.
Architectural features, such as divine lead lighting and heritage balustrades,
make a stroll through Brisbane's Arcade a charming experience. Skip from King
George Square, Adelaide Street, to the Queen Street Mall in style. Home of the Australian Crocodile Hunter! Your visit to the home of the 'Crocodile Hunter' will definitely thrill and amaze you.
